So today marks a glorious day! The day I have been waiting for since September 9th when Apple announced it’s new product line. Today my iPad Pro arrived, and it is stunning!
As I opened the simple packaging Apple so kindly prepared for me, with Beethoven’s “Ode To Joy” being blasted in the background (compliments of Mr. Healy), the anticipation was palpable. When I finally free’d the beast from it’s cage I was impressed, I mean instantly taken aback. The sure size of the device was intense and the weight or lack there of, for a device this large was impressive. I know it is essentially the top half a MacBook Air 13″ but still… WOW.
One thing missing from Apple’s newest iDevice is their 3D Touch and Live photos capability. I must have missed the footnote on this, because when I stumbled to figure out how to make 3D touch work I promptly took to the internet to find my answer, What I found was very disappointing to say the least.
Another major let down was the lack of availability for iPad Pro peripherals. I ordered an Apple Pencil to pair with my iPad Pro and it won’t be shipped to me until, and I quote; “December 6 – 17th”. LAME, incredibly LAME. So let the waiting game begin, I guess. I mean why ship your new flagship iPad model without all it’s peripherals? C’mon Apple, people who bought the iPad Pro want the Pencil, they want the Keyboard smart cover. This is a huge miss in my opinion.
As always, thanks for stopping by.
