It’s time yet again for the pencils to hit the paper, the fingers to strike the keys. That’s right, it’s the start of school. We have been underway here at Suffield Academy for about three weeks, and Fall exams are rapidly approaching.
The winds have changed, finally, crisp air replaces humid. We have warm days that are shorter and cold nights that seem to carry on.
Amidst all these changes, one thing has not changed. Here in the Technology Department, we are flat-out. This year is the year of little fires. And though, we work diligently to extinguish them, they keep spreading.
This year is a strange year for our campus. This year, we are all a little out-of-place.
But, that’s all right. There is nothing wrong with a little change. Especially, when that change will bring about some pretty remarkable things. In a few short months, we have a new beautifully renovated building.
Memorial, will be amazing. Memorial will be a building that any of us will be proud to call our home away from home. I’m talking of course about our new classrooms and workspaces. They truly will be incredible.
If you haven’t had the chance to stop by our campus, it has never looked better. Brodie dorm has finished and will be the temporary classroom space while we all eagerly await Memorial’s completion. The grass is green the trees are stunning and the buildings are just as proud.
So, I guess what I am saying is, welcome 2017-2018.
